Sculptures at the Foot of Velký Chlum
When you follow the red signs from Obora through Huť svaté Antonie, you will reach Velký Chlum, which is extraordinary thanks to the sandstone sculptures created by Stanislav Rolínek, an amateur sculptor from Bořitov. In 1431, Hussite army led by Prokop Holý camped at the foot of Velký Chlum on the way to Olomouc. That is how Alois Jirásek described the situation in his play "Jan Žižka". Stanislav Rolínek carved Jan Hus, Jan Žižka and Prokop Holý into the stone almost 500 years after the event.
