The Malá Haná Micro-region

The Malá Haná micro-region occupies the northernmost point of the South-Moravian Region, the north tip of the depressed area called the Boskovice Gully. The small area includes the rough environment of Drahany Highlands, the warm and fertile valley of the Boskovice Gully and hills, forested points of Podorlická pahorkatina. Forests are an oasis of peace, inviting to a stroll or a ride on a horse or a bike. The region smells of apples and plums. Let the locals invite you for a tasting of the famous spirit: "the Borotín distillery is near the chateau and they make plum brandy in a firebrick cup."

The micro-region includes 16 municipalities: Borotín, Cetkovice, Malá Roudka, Světlá, Šebetov, Uhřice, Úsobrno, Vanovice, the town of Velké Opatovice and then Skočova Lhota, Drválovice, Bezděčí, Brťov, Korbelova Lhota, Svárov and Velká Roudka. The overall area of the micro-region is 85 km2, over 8 thousand people live there.
